Thank you for choosing this template! 💜

I am on a language-learning journey myself and found it extremely challenging to manage both the learning part and the organizing part. That’s why I came up with this template in order to help myself and people who are in similar situations. I’m hoping this will ease the admin part so you can focus on what truly matters —- learning.

This template is highly customizable and you may personalize it however way you wish. You can simplify it or modify it some more. Currently, there are only two databases I used: Learning Planner and Grammar.

There are 7 main sections in the template and these are, starting with the left side:

Dashboard

This is a simple dashboard for you to type the language you’re learning, your level, start and target end dates. You’ll also see a dropdown menu that say, Add a new…. This is where you can quickly add a new page.

Reminders

This shows a filtered view (today) of all your calendar items such as reminders, classes, study time, etc.

Unscheduled To Dos

These are none calendar items for when you want to jot down something but do not have a particular date to assign.

Quicklinks

As the word suggests, this section contains links to your often used website and apps. You can also add information you can quickly access from here such as your instructors / language partner’s name, meeting links, shared documents and more.

In the center, from the top, there are:

My Desk

This has your classes & notes, learnings, grammar and review.

You may have noticed by now that I use a lot toggle views. This is just my personal preference since I see items better this way. If it were nested as a page, I’d probably forget they exist. If you like another view, feel free to modify it or even create a separate page altogether. It’s totally up to you.

Also, check the Review box, if you want to review an item at a later time. All your items for review are found in the Review table.

Motivation & Goals

Learning a new language can be hard and demotivating sometimes. I thought it would be nice to get a reminder of why I’m doing what I’m doing. Also, motivation and goals change over time and so you can update this when it does. I suggest keeping this section, even if you find it a bit sappy. You’ll never know when you’ll need it.
